This is kind of roughly in a way approximately the 20th anniversary of when these songs were first released for public scrutiny. The solo stuff (the first 9 songs) was released in 1996 on a cassette called “Zippy Sings and Plays Guitar”. These songs were subsequently release on CD, along with recordings by the Blue Darts (the last 5 songs), in 1999.

Maybe I’m getting old, but the old solo stuff still hangs on me like an old T-shirt. The solo stuff was recorded live at Ft Hazel. And the Blue Dart stuff was also recorded at Ft Hazel.

The Blue Darts were me, Skully, and Greg. You guys rocked. Our only claim to anything was that we once opened for Mary Lou Lord. Tristan added some Lowbelly seasoning and mixed the tracks, and I like Skully’s guitar in the mix (happy face with party hat). And Phedra and Julie add a really happy vibe to a really sad song. Rock on.
